Hello my name is Karim. Welcome to Search Engine Algorithms I have been working in IT since 1988 and a lot of changes have happened in the online world since then, I will try to share my experiences regarding my seo expertise, search engine marketing, online gaming and the Internet in general,

My background is in systems automation and I have been working for Ericsson, Goldman Sachs and Fiat as a System Engineer and I was first introduced to the Internet in 1995, since then I have managed a multitude of projects, that have included web applications, search engine optimization, affiliate marketing and reverse engineering search engine algorithms.

I am proficient on several operating systems including: OS/400, Windows and *nix systems. Lately I have been more on the research side of things and built our own custom tools to enhance and automate some of the processes needed to achieve better results in organic search.

My latest project is the creation of a Virtual Distributed Dedicated Server Network with integrated process automation to help reduce the leg work with seo optimization, which is the goal of any SEO expert.

Currently I am employed by Systrix.com as their CEO, where I also assist with SEO Strategy and help create new tools for Search Engine Optimization.

Pervasive experience within the gaming industry with in-depth knowledge of SEO, affiliate management, affiliate marketing and affiliate networks. Started as an affiliate webmaster of www.01-poker.com, progressing to CEO of white label affiliate program, Pearl Gaming, with responsibilities encompassing all areas of operations. Consulting as a Project Manager for a client, my main tasks are program level management, creating budgets, risk assessment and reporting for large banking projects.

Greyhound Gaming – Costa Rica, June 2007 to March 2008
CEO of Greyhound Gaming, launched a new Whitelabel Poker site. Was responsible among other things for SEO (very broad experience in SEO methodologies), setup of servers and affiliate marketing. I left the company because of lack of funds.

Pearl Gaming – Cyprus, November 2005 to June 2007
CEO and conceptual inspiration of Pearl Gaming Casino Affiliate Program, an innovative software platform developed in PHP, the only one of its kind to offer complete site generation. My responsibilities encompass all aspects of operations, including leader of our development team, support team and affiliate management team. I provide creative content and architectural design concepts, SEO strategies and remote management of development. I am personally responsible for all relationships and contract negotiations with payment providers and gaming operators as well as personnel recruitment. I actively manage sales and customer relations.  Since its establishment in 2005, Pearl Gaming has achieved top position on Google for main keywords.

01 Creations OÜ, Tallinn – Estonia, August 2001 to November 2005
Managed a team of 6 people locally. Responsible for implementation of the whole IT infrastructure which includes several Linux and Solaris servers running Apache, PHP, Postfix, Hylafax,  Firewalls, UPS, Samba, etc. I was the program manager for a web based Timesheet application which we have launched on the market. I was negotiating with Ethernet switch manufacturers to setup strategic alliances for a Layer 5-7 Switch for which we have developed the software, as well as dealing with VC firms to seek funding. I have been responsible for managing several client projects including Nokia and Ericsson in the offshore development area. Also responsible for setting up the foreign sales offices. I have managed the development of a Peer to Peer VOIP application called Voipster.

Ericsson AG, Bruettisellen,  January 2000 to July 2001
Consulting as a system engineer focusing mainly on messaging problems (Exchange and Sendmail) and NT Backoffice server infrastructure, Terminal Server with Citrix Metaframe, and Solaris servers. I was also responsible for rebuilding Ericsson’s server rooms in Bern and Zurich, overlooking the whole project. Other projects included setting up a WAP gateway, an IIS/MS-SQL Server for a content management application.

Calleo Switzerland AG, Zurich, October 1999 to December 1999
I have installed a Proxy server, created a backup concept, and created a concept and budget for implementing a MS-Exchange infrastructure, which also involved reorganizing the IP networks, and engineering an NT domain and internet domain concept. I created a migration plan from Windows 98 to a standardized SOE NT platform, which included Software distribution, Winstall packaging, free seating and standard clone.

Goldman Sachs & Co. Bank, 1997 to 1999 – consultant
Within Goldman Sachs I was responsible for organizing an IT move for the operations department, which included reorganization of the ip network, planned a new computer room which consisted of approximately 50 servers. After the move I joined the IT department where I worked on various projects such as installing Microsoft SMS, SQL Server, Exchange, Tobit Faxware.  I also upgraded NT servers to NT version 4.0, conducted a rollout of NT 4 to 150+ machines. I performed 2nd and 3rd level support for the bank’s users. Installed and supported  Ascend communication  equipment for the Bank’s users and clients.

TBM & Consultants SA, Lugano 1994 to 1997 – CEO
Responsible for the operation of TBM & Consultants SA, responsibilities here included, managing client relations, sales, planning and implementing network installations on Netware and Windows NT. Implementation of an Internet server for TBM when the company decided to become an ISP. I have designed an application for the “Ente della Protezione Civile” using Microsoft Foxpro.

IHF International Holding FIAT, Paradiso 1991 to 1994 – Helpdesk Part of the helpdesk team, here I handled 2nd and 3rd level support on a Windows 3.11 platform.  I was also part of the AS/400 operators team.
